Aratani Mariko
Aratani Mariko was born in Japan. She graduated from the Tokyo University of Fine Art and Music (Tokyo Gaigutsu Daigaku) and has been a professional musician and translator in both the United States and Japan. Aratani has published many Japanese translations of English works. She lives with her husband, daughter, and two black cats in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she is an instructor and interpreter of Japanese.
