Snag “Midnight Reads” at Northern Spark Festival this Weekend
06/07/2012
Whether reading by flashlight or candle, night owls have long sought inspiration in the pages of a riveting book. Usually, however, the accumulation of books stops around sunset, when bookshops and libraries lock their doors for the night. But who says the hungry mind can’t get a new book at, say, 2:43am? Not us, that’s for sure. For anyone participating in Minneapolis’ Northern Spark Arts Festival, we’d like to announce “Midnight Reads.” For one night we’ll give you a new, free book from the witching hour until the break of dawn—just for supporting the arts and burning the midnight oil.
Here’s how it works: If you’re out after midnight attending a Northern Spark event (technically on Sunday, June 10), take a picture of yourself at the event. Next, post the picture to our Facebook page or tweet it to @Milkweed_Books. If you’ve got room, include the hashtags #midnightreads or #nspk. Do that and we’ll give you a free book. It’s that simple. Send us your picture; earn a free book. (A few nitty-gritty details: limit one book per person while supplies last, offer lasts from 12:00am to sunrise on June 10.)
We can’t wait to see your pictures of red-eye revelry and give you a good book that will keep you up late in the weeks to come.
