We’re looking for an exotic creature in the wild: the shy, curious book of essays Things That Are by Amy Leach. We’ve got a handsome reward for any intrepid photographers who can find and charm one.

Take a picture of yourself in a favorite outdoor space reading Things That Are and you will be entered to win a copy of the book signed by Amy Leach.*

Entering the contest is easy. To be eligible you must:

1. Subscribe to the Milkweed Editions newsletter (current and new subscribers are both eligible; if you are already a subscriber, all you need to do is step 2). Click here to sign up for the enewsletter.

2. Share your photo with us by midnight on Friday, September 14. Here’s how you do that:

Tweet “@Milkweed_Books I found a copy of THINGS THAT ARE in the wild” with the image attached

Post the image to Facebook with the caption “I found a copy of THINGS THAT ARE in the wild” (make sure to tag us so we find out about it)
OR
