Weijia Pan wins 2023 Max Ritvo Poetry Prize

We are thrilled to announce that Weijia Pan is the winner of the 2023 Max Ritvo Poetry Prize. His manuscript, titled Motherlands, was selected by judge Louise Glück and will be published in September 2024. In addition to publication, Weijia Pan will receive $10,000.

Jackson Holbert Wins 2022 Max Ritvo Poetry Prize

We are thrilled to announce that Jackson Holbert is the winner of the 2022 Max Ritvo Poetry Prize. His manuscript Winter Stranger was selected by judge Henri Cole and will be published in June 2023. In addition to publication, Holbert will receive $10,000.

Jackson Holbert was born and raised in eastern Washington. His poems have appeared in FIELD, The Nation, and Poetry. He received an MFA in Poetry from the Michener Center for Writers. He is currently a Stegner Fellow at Stanford and lives in Oakland.

Ryann Stevenson Wins 2021 Max Ritvo Poetry Prize

We are thrilled to announce that Ryann Stevenson is the winner of the 2021 Max Ritvo Poetry Prize. Her manuscript Human Resources was selected by judge Henri Cole and will be published in June 2022. In addition to publication, Stevenson will receive $10,000.

Ryann Stevensons poems have appeared in The Adroit Journal, American Letters & Commentary, Bennington Review, Columbia Poetry Review, The Cortland Review, Denver Quarterly, and Linebreak, among others. She lives in Oakland, California.

Michael Kleber-Diggs Wins 2020 Max Ritvo Poetry Prize

We are thrilled to announce that Michael Kleber-Diggs is the winner of the 2020 Max Ritvo Poetry Prize. His manuscript Worldly Things was selected by judge Henri Cole and will be published in June 2021. In addition to publication, Kleber-Diggs will receive $10,000.

Michael Kleber-Diggs was born and raised in Kansas and now lives in St. Paul, Minnesota. His work has appeared in Lit Hub, the Rumpus, Rain Taxi, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Water~Stone Review, Midway Review, North Dakota Quarterly and a few anthologies. Grady Chambers Wins Inaugural Max Ritvo Poetry Prize
