September marks one year since Dave and Amy Freeman left the Boundary Waters and returned to civilization. Join Milkweed Editions and the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters to celebrate this special anniversary and the release of Dave and Amy Freeman’s new book A Year in the Wilderness. This book details the incredible story of all they witnessed and learned from living on the land, their personal motivations during the year, and why it’s important to protect wild places. Join Amy and Dave for a conversation with Milkweed Publisher & CEO Daniel Slager about the process of writing the book and participate in a silent auction to support the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters.
$15/person, additional donations encouraged. Ticket includes one drink ticket. Additional drinks and food from Potter’s Pasties Food Truck available for purchase at the event. Proceeds from your tickets, donations and silent auction purchases will help permanently protect the 1.1 million acres of roadless, unspoiled woodlands and pristine water that make up the Boundary Waters from proposed sulfide-ore copper mines along the edge of the Wilderness.
