Mingle with other readers, writers, and members of our literary community and meet the 2018 finalists for the Minnesota Book Awards. Presented with The Loft Literary Center, the event is free and open to the public.
Wine and light hors d’oeuvres will be served during the reception and finalist books will be available for purchase. The program will feature panels of finalist authors discussing their work—including Milkweed author and finalist in poetry, Caitlin Bailey, who received the 2017 Lindquist & Vennum Prize for Poetry for her debut collection, Solve for Desire.

Caitlin Bailey
Caitlin Bailey is the author of Solve for Desire, a finalist for the Minnesota Book Award and winner of the 2017 Lindquist & Vennum Prize for Poetry, selected by Srikanth Reddy.
Inspired by the mysterious and intense relationship of the Trakl siblings, Solve for Desire is a keening exploration of desire between brother and sister, poet and subject, the living and the dead.
