Writers Go to the Movies: Ed Bok Lee

Directed by Angela Pelster, Writers Go to the Movies is a new film event series on writing, watching, and inspiration at the Bryant Lake Bowl. Each month, a different writer will present a film that has informed or inspired their writing practice. Following a screening of the film, the featured writer and another specialist from a field related to the film’s themes will lead a conversation on the movie and artmaking with the audience. Milkweed Books will provide sales of the featured writer’s books and an eclectic selection of other related titles. This month, Poet Ed Bok Lee kicks off the series with a screening of Arrival, followed by a conversation with Spanish and Latin American Studies professor Andrea Bell. FOLLOW WGTM. LEARN MORE.
