We accept submissions from *January-March and July-September, and read submissions from April-June and October-December. Dear Authors,

Due to an overwhelming number of submissions, Milkweed Editions will not be accepting unsolicited manuscripts from January to March 2013. Please be assured that this is a temporary measure. Milkweed has always and will continue to encourage and support the work of emerging writers. The decision to stay closed for the next scheduled open period is to ensure that we can give every manuscript received our full consideration.

If you submitted work to Milkweed Editions between July 1 and September 30, 2012, you can expect to receive a response by June 30, 2013.

We plan to reopen to unsolicited submissions on July 1, 2013. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
