Just one more week until Milkweed’s 2017 Book Lovers Ball!
From the Milkweed Archive at the Upper Midwest Literary Archives, here are the first three invitations to the Book Lovers Ball from 2000, 2001, and 2002. Check out the list of readers "having a ball" at our inaugral event in 2000. The event has evolved considerably over the years. This year's program includes a seated dinner, live auction, presentation of the Milkweed Award for Distinguished Contributions to Literary Culture, and storytelling from Amy and Dave Freeman, authors of A Year in the Wilderness.
