Celebrating literature and language as an antidote to the troubled world in which we live, the 2023 Rose Warner Reading Series inspires students to explore the creative literary arts on the welcoming Duluth campus of The College of St. Scholastica. All you need to do is show up. We’ll do the rest.
CSS’s English Department looks forward to sharing time with the nation’s engaged citizens of tomorrow, accompanied by you, the teachers of today. Please note, for teachers attending and participating in sessions organized specifically for you, CSS will provide Continuing Education Unit certificates (5 hours).

Michael Bazzett
Michael Bazzett is the author of You Must Remember This, which received the 2014 Lindquist & Vennum Prize for Poetry, The Interrogation, and most recently The Echo Chamber. He is also the translator of The Popol Vuh, the first English verse translation of the Mayan creation epic, which was named one a New York Times Best Book of 2018. His poems have appeared in numerous publications, including Ploughshares, The Sun, and Best New Poets. He is a 2017 National Endowment for the Arts Fellow and lives in Minneapolis.
