Job Opening: Executive Assistant


Milkweed Editions, one of the nation’s leading independent book publishers, seeks an Executive Assistant to work with Milkweed’s executive team and Board of Directors. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintaining calendars and managing scheduling and correspondence for the Publisher & CEO and the organization’s Board of Directors; preparing agendas for, attending, and documenting board and board committee meetings; maintaining current rosters and documents; coordinating events; maintaining relationships with organizational partners and service providers; booking travel and reservations; processing invoices and payment requests.

Ideal candidates will be highly organized professionals with strong writing and excellent interpersonal communication skills. We are looking for candidates who thrive with a wide range of responsibilities and work, who are able to identify and fix problems as well as propose new ideas, and who enjoy connecting with people. Previous experience working directly for a senior manager is strongly preferred.

This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits. Salary: $60-75,000, depending on experience. This is an on-site, Minneapolis-based position.
