Tim Winton

Tim Winton has published over two dozen books for adults and children, and his work has been translated into twenty-eight languages. Since his first novel, An Open Swimmer, won the Australian Vogel Award in 1981, he has won the Miles Franklin Award four times (for Shallows, Cloudstreet, Dirt Music, and Breath) and twice been shortlisted for the Booker Prize (for The Riders and Dirt Music). His fiction published in the United States includes Eyrie and Breath (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2014 and 2008) and Dirt Music (Scribner, 2002). Island Home is his first work of memoir published in the United States. Winton lives in Western Australia.
