It will be exciting to build on that legacy by expanding Milkweed’s fiction list with ambitious, original voices and stories that challenge how we see and understand the world. I’m especially drawn to fiction that explores our changing relationship with the natural world, interrogates the space between myth and reality, and approaches language with the imagination, precision, and sensibility of a poet.”
