Featuring some of today’s dopest emerging and established poets & writers, the COUNTERpult Storyteller Showcase is an end-of-year benefit celebration that places on the mainstage OUR storytelling traditions. All proceeds raised from this sacred container will be used to support Roots. Wounds. Words. literary arts pedagogy, publication and performance opportunities for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+POC, and justice-involved storytellers.

Roots. Wounds. Words. seeks to raise $5,000. Every cent of donations made to this offering will support our visionary literary arts programs (workshops, master classes, tribe scribe sessions, and writers’ retreats). Roots. Wounds. Words. is a Literary Arts Revolution that centers and celebrates Us. Us Black. Us Indigenous. Us Latinx. Us People of Color. Us economically-disempowered. Us LGBTQIA+POC. Us justice-involved (currently or formerly incarcerated, in the juvenile justice system, on probation, or parole). Help Roots. Wounds. Words. continue to provide Us with opportunities to develop craft, perform, and publish Our art.

The suggested donation is $20. However, whether you donate more or less than suggested, all funds will ensure that BIPOC, LGBTQIA+POC, and justice-involved storytellers will continue to benefit from Roots. Wounds. Words. offerings.
