As part of Kundiman’s Summer Sessions, Kundiman will be hosting Aimee Nezhukumatathil to teach a hybrid generative class for writers called “The Edge of the Sea is a Strange & Beautiful Place: Hybrid Poetry & Prose Experiments.” The class will interrogate and investigate the “strange and beautiful place” of genre-blurring work. The class will meet over Zoom on Saturday, August 1st, from 2:00 PM–5:00 PM ET, and is open to all writers who are BIPOC. Scholarships are available. Aimee Nezhukumatathil
Aimee Nezhukumatathil is the author of World of Wonders, an illustrated essay collection, as well as of four books of poetry, including, most recently, Oceanic, winner of the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Award. She serves as poetry faculty for the Writing Workshops in Greece and is professor of English and Creative Writing in the University of Mississippi’s MFA program.
