Please join us for the unveiling of the “You Are Here” poetry project with U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón and National Parks Service.

You are invited to a special event celebrating poetry and nature at Crescent Beach Picnic Area!

Ada Limón, the nation’s 24th Poet Laureate, will launch her new art installation project, created in partnership with the Library of Congress, the Poetry Society of America, and the National Park Service. “You Are Here” transforms American poems into works of public art which will be installed in parks across the country. This location features “Never Alone” by Francisco X. Alarcón. This initiative will help all park visitors form deeper connections to the natural world through poetry and the arts.

These installations will transform picnic tables into works of public art featuring an American poem with a meaningful connection to the park. This initiative will help all park visitors form deeper connection to the natural world through poetry and the arts.

Books will be available for purchase at the event. Books can be preordered and picked up at event. All sales are final. All proceeds support Redwood Parks Conservancy.
