Kevin Prufer

Kevin Prufer is co-editor of Literary Publishing in the Twenty-First Century and the author of six collections of poems, among them Churches, one of The New York Times “10 Favorite Poetry Books of 2014,” In A Beautiful Country, and National Anthem. He has edited numerous anthologies of poetry and poetry in translation, including New European Poets, New Young American Poets, and Into English: An Anthology of Multiple Translations (forthcoming). He has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Lannan Foundation, two William Rockhill Nelson awards, four Pushcart Prizes and multiple Best American Poetry selections, and numerous Poetry Society of America awards. He teaches creative writing at the University of Houston and in the low-residency MFA program at Lesley University, serves as Editor-at-Large for Pleiades, and co-curates the Pleiades Press Unsung Masters Series with Wayne Miller.
