Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) invites the community to participate in all related events for this fall’s upcoming Common Reading event. The book for Fall 2023 semester is Bright Dead Things by Ada Limón, United States Poet Laureate.

Limón is scheduled to visit Wednesday, October 18, 2023 for a keynote presentation, book reading, and book signing at 12:30 p.m. in Blandford Lecture Hall in the Humanities building on OCTC’s Main Campus; the event is open to the public.

Central to Rush’s writing is the act of listening: listening to those who live in front-line climate-changed communities, listening to Antarctica’s great glaciers as they go to pieces, listening to all those voices long locked out of environmental conversations.

Join Margaret in celebration of her book The Comfort of Crows, at Blue Bicycle Books.

Ms. Renkl will talk, take questions and sign books in the courtyard of Blue Bicycle Books, 420 King St., downtown Charleston.

Tickets to the talk are free, with the option to order a signed copy of The Comfort of Crows, as well as pucharse her previous books, Graceland At Last (now out in paperback!) and Late Migrations.

Join Margaret in celebration of her book The Comfort of Crows, at Birmingham/Little Professor in Homewood.

The event is free but registration is required. Drinks will be available for purchase at the event.

This event is planned for the outdoor patio in Homewood. The event will be moved to Pepper Place if weather does not cooperate!

Aimee Nezhukumatathil, the winner of this year’s Corrington Award for Literary Excellence, will give a poetry reading and accept her award in a ceremony at Anderson Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 23rd, 2023.
