Sheila Fischman has translated more than 150 Quebecois novels from French to English, including Larry Tremblay’s The Orange Grove. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the Governor General’s Literary Award for Translation, the Columbia University Translation Center Award (twice), and, most recently, the Canada Council for the Arts Molson Prize.

Annick Smith is the author of several books, including Homestead, In This We Are Native, Big Bluestem, and most recently Crossing the Plains with Bruno. She is also the editor of Headwaters: Montana Writers on Water & Wilderness, and coeditor with Susan O’Connor of The Wide Open: Prose, Poetry, and Photographs of the Prairie and, most recently, Hearth: A Global Conversation on Identity, Community, and Place. She lives in Bonner, Montana.

Martha Roth is the author of Arousal and co-editor of Transforming a Rape Culture (both published by Milkweed Editions). Her other books include Mother Journeys: Feminists Write about Mothering, and the critically-acclaimed novel Goodness.
